There are some important safety guidelines you need to know.

We have been serving the public at Granny’s for over 36 years and we are truly a family run establishment. Our children were raised working here and have chosen to carry on our family tradition. So now not only are they here but several of our grandchildren and daughters-in-law are also here with us. We also have our beloved staff who are more than just employees, they are also our family. This is why we ask that you understand that we just cannot do “business as usual”. We must keep our family safe.

To our visitors we ask that you take into consideration the fact that you are in the land of the Cherokee. In our culture we revere our elders and feel they must be protected. Almost everyone of us, native or not, have someone that we love and want to protect and we believe that at this point in time the only way to do this is to adhere to the Wear, Wait and Wash mandate set forth by the State of North Carolina and by our leaders of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

What we ask you to do for us:

Please wear a face covering. If you don’t have one we will provide one and we require that they be worn any time you are not seated at your table.

Please sanitize your hands before going through the buffet line.

What we are doing for you:

Each staff member will wear a mask for your and their protection.

We will wear gloves changing them very frequently

We will routinely clean “high touch” areas every 15 minutes

Tables and chairs will be sanitized after each use.

We have installed an air cleaning system to each of our HVAC units that kills bacteria and viruses in the air.

Each night after we close we use a “whole room” misting system in each dining room, around the buffet area and restrooms.

We completely understand that some people do not want to wear a face covering for many different reasons and you certainly have the choice to do what you feel is best for you and your family. But we too have the right to do what we feel is best for our family and after extensive research it is our personal belief that masks, sanitizing and social distancing used together is the only way to paving our road back to the way we were. So if you don’t want to wear a face covering we will gladly fix you up with a takeout meal or you can exercise your right to not eat with us at all. That is your right. But we demand our right to protect the people that we love, our staff and our customers, our family, so NO MASK, NO SERVICE. We are not upset about your choice so please don’t be upset about ours. We love our customers and if you choose not to wear a mask we still love you and ask you to come back when this nightmare is over.

We are closed for the season.

We appreciate everyone who came to see us this year, and we look forward to seeing you again when we open on March 28.
